Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Foundation Review

Probably being the most talked about beauty product ever, I had to try out the Fenty Beauty Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation and see exactly what all the hype is about. When I went to purchase it in Harvey Nichols (the only place you can buy it in the UK I believe) I received such great customer service; the lady who matched my foundation was really chatty and lovely and I would definitely go back to Harvey Nic's to purchase more from Fenty Beauty again.

My first impressions of this foundation were mixed; it felt really lightweight and pleasant on the skin, and not at all drying. However, having said that, I did find that it clung a little to the drier parts of my face and became a bit harder to blend there too. Although with a bit of extra smudging, and some concealer and powder, I was really impressed with the final result. I definitely understand why it's called the "Soft Matte" foundation, as it does give that 'gentle-but-still-matte' vibe - the kind that sits in between dewy and matte. In terms of the coverage it gave, I'd probably say it was a medium coverage foundation, but it could be built up to being a full coverage one if needs be.

This wore really well through the day; it kept its demi-matte finish and I found that I didn't need to re-apply powder as much as I'd normally need to to get rid of my shiny t-zone! I was a little worried that it might have oxidised after a while, but thankfully it didn't which was a huge bonus!

Overall, I would totally recommend this foundation to those of you with oily skin - I think it lasts superbly throughout the day and gives good coverage if you're someone like me who gets spots. However, if you have dry skin, I might advise you to approach this foundation with a bit more caution and really do your research before you buy it. Like I said, I did find it to cling to the drier parts of my face but as I have oilier skin, it wasn't too much of a problem, but for any of you who have dry skin all over it could become an issue.

Thank you so much for reading this post, and I hope you're all well!
