My Makeup Geek Eyeshadow Collection & Swatches

I've been dying to try out the eyeshadow pans from Makeup Geek for the longest time now, and so when they went on sale for around £3.50 each on Beauty Bay  for Black Friday, I simply couldn't resist them any longer!

Obviously, being eyeshadow pans, they don't have any substantial packaging that would allow them to be kept loose without damaging the product, and so I went on a mission to buy a magnetic palette to keep them in after I purchased them. Due to the huge Z-Palette controversy, I decided instantly that I didn't want to support the brand at all, and so I went searching for an alternative. I did find a couple on eBay that seemed like really good products, but in the end I eventually settled on buying the Freedom Makeup Pro Artist Mega Pro HD Empty Eyeshadow Palette from Superdrug, which can also be found on Tam Beauty's site. To give a brief review, it's wonderful! It's extremely high quality for the £6 price tag, and I definitely plan on buying some more in the future if needs be... or more like when needs be.

And now onto the main part of the post: my Makeup Geek eyeshadow collection. Below are pictures of all of them close up with swatches of each one, and there's a mini review of them all at the end too!

Overall I'm super happy with the shades that I chose; I've been wanting to get into more bright colours instead of just typical neutrals, and I think some of these shades would work well for that. The quality of these shadows really does live up to its hype - they're super creamy and very easy to blend on the eyes. Some may be more pigmented than others, but I found that the slightly less-pigmented ones build up nicely and don't go patchy. If you're after some affordable eyeshadows this party season, I would definitely suggest giving Makeup Geek ones a try!
