Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette Review & Swatches

This release from Urban Decay , the Naked Heat Palette, is by far one of the biggest beauty releases so far this year, and probably one of my most favourite so far too! I sadly missed out on the pre-release, and so this post might be a little bit behind the bandwagon, but I'm so glad I finally got my hands on it as soon as it was officially released so I could share my thoughts on it with you all.

To begin with, the packaging blew my mind! The palette itself is really sturdy as it's made of plastic which houses the eyeshadows well and keeps them safe. I'm so glad that Urban Decay has moved on from their cardboard packaging that they used for the Naked Palette, as this kind feels so much more luxe, which helps to justify the price tag just that little bit more! The palette also contains a really lovely mirror inside, and comes encased in a beautifully designed cardboard box, below are some pictures of the back and inside of the case, as I thought they were too lovely and had to show them to you.

Now onto the crucial part of the review: the eyeshadows themselves. I kid you not when I say that these are super pigmented, so much so that when I first went to apply them I got a bit overloaded with pigment and had to re-apply with a very light hand. But hey, that's not a bad thing at all, in fact I'm super impressed with the formula as a whole. It's incredibly soft and creamy; there is some kickback and excess powder, but honestly, it's a powder product so that makes total sense to me when it does happen every now and then. I also tried using the shimmer shades in the palette with a damp brush and the results I got were just..... gorgeous!

As you can see from the pictures above, aren't the shades just dreamy?! They're absolutely perfect for a complete eye look - you have very pale shades for highlighting underneath the brow bone and setting any eye primer, then perfect neutral shades for the crease, and gorgeous dark shades to add some depth to your look or create a dramatic smokey eye.

Overall, I really can't fault this palette; Urban Decay have not only produced a great, and very clever, addition to their Naked Palette line, but also a really brilliant product that is definitely worth the money. A quick pointer for all of you fellow students out there: I was super impressed that Urban Decay - I purchased this straight from their own website and not through another shop -  let me use my student discount on top of another promo offer going on on their site at the same time, as often shops will only let you use one offer per transaction. So yeah, good on you Urban Decay!

Thanks so much for reading this post, and I hope you're all well!
