My Evening Skincare Routine feat. Leesa

For me, my evening skincare routine is the perfect way to end the day, relax, and prepare myself for tomorrow. I've listed the items I use in the order in which I use them to give a better idea of what my routine is like. Just a quick disclaimer: I'm super sorry that the majority of the products are from The Body Shop only; it's not that this post is associated with them in any way, it's just that I try and use organic skincare products as much as possible because I think they're the healthiest things to use on my skin, however they can be quite expensive and The Body Shop is definitely more affordable in my opinion. If you happen to know any other affordable organic skincare brands, please let me know in the comments!

To begin with I use this Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter from The Body Shop all over my face, and then remove it with a muslin cloth, using small circular movements to exfoliate my skin gently. I adore this product! I was very sceptical at first, as I was a little worried it was something that I was talked into buying by the shop assistant, but when I got home and used it for the first time I was so shocked at how well it took off my makeup. Also, it's incredibly gentle and moisturising on the skin, and has a very relaxing smell, which is perfect for settling down in the evening before bed.

To make sure that all of my makeup is 100% taken off, I combine this Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water on a cotton pad with a couple of drops of the Vitamin E Hydrating Toner from The Body Shop (it ends up being about 70% micellar water, and 30% vitamin e toner). The micellar water is an obvious classic, and so I won't go into much detail about it, but it is very soothing and refreshing on the skin, and even if I use this without using the cleansing balm beforehand, the water alone takes off my makeup really well. The Vitamin E Toner has to be my favourite out of the two though; it is so nourishing for my skin and the smell is - I kid you not - heavenly!

Next I use this Tea Tree Anti-Imperfection Daily Solution from The Body Shop all over my face. I was so shocked at how luxurious this product is; the bottle and dropper are glass which I was super surprised about when I opened my parcel from an online order I placed. I was expecting the packaging to be plastic, as it only cost me £13, and so it was a lovely surprise!

Lastly I smother on some of this Vitamin E Night Cream by The Body Shop, and I cannot recommend this enough. Previously in another blog post about Garnier Moisture Bomb Cream I explained how my skin would sometimes become so unbearably tight and dry that it became painful, but as soon as I started using this every night, this has totally stopped happening. It is an absolute delight to apply onto the skin and also smells lovely, which seems to be a wonderful consistent aspect about The Body Shop's skincare ranges.

This blog post has been inspired by Leesa - a bedding company - which makes sure that you have the comfiest and best night sleep possible. Being a narcoleptic, I know how much a good night's sleep is worth and how important it is to stay healthy. I'll admit (I want to be as honest as possible on my blog regardless of whether I have been asked to mention a company or not) I haven't tried any of Leesa's mattresses, but judging by the amount of information and customer reviews on the website, it seems like a good place to consider spending your money.

Thank you so much for reading this post, I really hope you're all well and enjoying your holidays! This past week has been super exciting for me as I managed to get a place on a University course that I've been wanting to do and have been settling into my first job - I still can't quite believe these things have happened! I've been very lucky and I'm super grateful!

Lots of love from
